John Thomas, Manager and Director NLH

John Thomas
Director and Operations Manager

At NLH Management, Mr. Thomas is responsible for the overall operations and P & L, which include land acquisition, construction, sales and service. Additionally, Mr. Thomas is responsible for the strategic and tactical direction of the company. He also serves on the Investment Committee for NLH Management, which is responsible for analyzing, underwriting and approving all investment decisions. Mr. Thomas has been developing property since 2006 and has extensive experience in the real estate and financial services sectors. Mr. Thomas is a licensed attorney in Utah and Texas since 1999 and has conducted many real-estate transactions as well as mergers, acquisitions, and other business combinations for companies he has either owned or in the attorney/client capacity. Mr. Thomas holds a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Tech University School of Law.

Brandon Pehrson
Director and Construction Manager

Mr. Pehrson has devoted his entire career as an innovative real estate agent, land developer, and general contractor. He has built new homes, commercial buildings, assisted living centers mixed-use developments, retail, office, assisted living center, and multi-family buildings in urban and suburban locations as the developer and general contractor. Mr. Pehrson has successfully managed all phases of the property development process, including: negotiations of contracts, locating suitable property for desired use, due diligence, land acquisition, budgeting, forecasting, financing, entitlement, environmental mitigation, improvements, planning, permitting, design, value-oriented specifications, construction, marketing, sales, leasing, tenant improvements, and property management. Mr. Pehrson's strengths include creative problem solving to manage challenging projects that involve community opposition, negotiating with city planners, economic development departments, and complex transactions. Mr. Pehrson is a licensed real estate broker and general contractor.

Tommy Hinson
Director & Investor Relations Manager

Mr. Hinson is the Chief Executive Officer at Investors 1031 Exchange. At Investors 1031 he oversees all educational, sales, and marketing objectives for the company. Thomas has been in the fiduciary services industry since 2001. Prior to Investors 1031 Exchange, he spent several years working with exchange companies to help grow their footprint in multiple regions throughout the United States. He is an expert with thousands of hours doing educational seminars and speaking engagements on all structures of 1031 Exchanges. He has also passed both the Series 82 and Series 63 FINRA security exams that focus on private placement and alternative investments such as Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs) and Tenant in Common (TICs) investments as well as private equity for various real estate investments. His media appearances include ESPN Radio, KCBQ San Diego, and "Market Updates" on "The American Dream" television show, and a panelist at the San Diego Global Investment Forum on Alternative Funding.

Before entering the 1031 Exchange space, Thomas owned and operated an independent escrow company with branches in San Diego and Orange Counties where he was a finalist in 2010 for
"One of San Diego's Fastest Growing Small Businesses." Prior to that he was the Vice President and Operation and Sales Manager for a National title company.
